Décor Elements

July 12th, 2008

My first set of Décor Elements arrived on Thursday–a large chocolate chip Stem Silhouette image. Application was really easy. I purchased the application tool–I know it looks like a Pampered Chef stoneware scraper, but it really worked well and is worth the extra couple of dollars. I am pleased with the final result and you can see both a close up and also how it fits in with my room in the pictures below (taken by my son Alex.)  Sorry, adorable cat is not included!

Monogram Me!

February 1st, 2008

The style of the new Together Forever set (Spring Summer Collection) really appeals to me. I created these personalized Monogram cards for a swap I was in. Attendees of my February 4 card class will be making some too! I used textured cardstock in Bayou Blue (looks lighter in this pictures).

Merci and Felt Flowers

January 21st, 2008

Here is a card I created using the Merci set from the Sale A Bration catalog.  I LOVE the cute little felt flowers available in the Spring Summer Collection catalog.  We will be using this set and the felt flowers in my next card class on February 4.

Sympathy Card right from the Fall/Winter Catalog

October 21st, 2007

When I saw this card in the Stampin’ Up Fall/Winter Collection Catalog, I wanted to CASE it (copy and steal everything) right away! I used canvas instead of the linen background in the catalog sample. It makes a beautiful card. And of course I would never CASE anything without giving the source credit. Imitation IS the highest form of flattery! And finding great samples to copy is one of the reasons you will want to make sure you get the new Spring/Summer Collection catalog when it comes out on January 1!

I will be sending out the Spring/Summer preview books in December which will give a sneak peek at some of the great new products that will be included in the new catalog.  If you are not already on my mailing list, please send me your mailing address by email ASAP!  Also, contact me to find out how you can earn the beautiful Spring/Summer Collection catalog absolutely free!

A new catalog also means a retired list of stamp sets from the current book.  I will publish that list as soon as I receive it from Stampin’ Up! (December 1).

Projects for Giftmaking Stamp Camp

October 1st, 2007

Here is a picture of all but one of the projects that will be offered at the Mission Impressionable Team’s Giftmaking Stamp Camp on October 20. Missing is the tile coaster set but I will add this picture soon. To see detailed pictures of any of the projects just click on the links. For this event you sign up for the projects you want to make and pay ala carte. To download the registration form for this event

Blackboard Clipboard: The picture shows a swap from regionals, but our project will be a bit different in that we will use the Doodle wheel and Doodle This stamp set. We will be leaving a bit more room to write notes in the center.
Ornament Shaped Mini Album: This is a cute little album you could hang on your tree if you want! The covers are made of chipboard coasters and the stamping is done with the Bud Basics stamp set. The new 5/8 grosgrain ribbon and a piece of hardware finishes it off.
Snowman Soup: The perfect little gift for a teacher or some other special person in your life. This little envelope folder holds the makings for “snowman soup” which is hot chocolate, mini marshmallows, and a peppermint stirring stick. Click the title above to see what the folder looks like opened. (some items are not in the pockets, but you get the idea!)
Glass Ornament: This projects reminds me of a ship in a bottle. How do you get that little gingerbread man inside the glass ornament? Come to the camp and learn how!
Holiday Planner: This book features the beautiful Dashing Designer Series Papers and includes tabs and a matching pen. Just what you need for a great gift or to get yourself organized for the holidays.
Wine Gift Bag: Running out the door for a holiday event at a friends house? Grab this beautiful bag, pop a bottle of their favorite wine inside and you have the perfect hostess gift. The bag includes a bow and tag and is decorated with the lovely Blossoms About set (don’t those flowers look like grapes?)
Tile Coaster Set: I don’t have a picture of this project yet, but will add one soon. This is a set of 4 coasters made from tumbled marble tiles that have been stamped and sealed. They make a fabulous gift!

Inspiration from Tampa

September 22nd, 2007

This buckle card was inspired by a card created by Amanda Coughlin from Tampa, Florida. I switched up the colors to the beautiful combination of Groovy Guava and Always Artichoke which are featured in the Secret Garden SS kit. This card was featured at my Labor Day 10 for $10. Sign up now for my next card class on October 1 by emailing me to hold your spot!

Happy Boo to You!!

September 16th, 2007

I cased this adorable 3 dimensional diorama card from a swap from Beth Daniels. This picture does not really do it justice, there are cute little Booglies (from the Booglie Eyes set) on multiple layers. The Home is Where the Haunt is set is also featured for the fence, tree, and house images. I can’t wait to make a few of these for my younger nieces and nephews. It squishes flat to fit in a No. 10 envelope. How fun! I am looking forward to creating a Christmas version with the adorable snowman from Merry and Bright in the Holiday Mini. I think a 3D class is in order :)

Cutie Pie

September 9th, 2007

I wasn’t able to make the Stampin Up convention this year, but I was wowed by a swap I received from Valerie White that was based on a convention make and take. This is my version which I tweaked to make it a bit more affordable for my 10 for $10 class. I am loving the new wide grosgrain ribbon (celery is used here), the awesome flower punch, sparkly rhinestone brads, and Cutie Pie papers. I featured this at my September 10 for $10 and I have to say it was a favorite. I made the scallop edge with the slit punch. My customers were happy to learn this technique (but also happy that I had punched some for them in advance so they didn’t have to worry about it!)

Apple Cider for the eyes

September 7th, 2007

When I saw the beautiful True Friend set and Apple Cider designer series papers in the Holiday Mini Catalog, I knew I had to have them! I created this card to swap at the Philadelphia Regional Stampin Up! meeting September 14. I also featured it at my September 10 for $10. Don’t miss the next card class on October 1. Email me to reserve your spot!
